This is the hero illustration for the 'High Noon' collection featuring a mother Weiro and her very curious chick out in the mid day sun. Butterflies flutter around staying just out of reach while a cicada camouflages against the tree branch. Wild bunny tails, proteas and colourful butterflies complete the picture on a scorching summer day.

The 'High Noon' collection is one of four collections included in the 'Wild Wings' theme. Each collection consists of 1 hero illustration, 2 hero surface patterns and 3 coordinating surface patterns in two colour ways by illustrator Kerry Beazley of Little Troves Studio (Vector and Raster elements)

TNBC012 - WinterSolstice
There are many legends, beliefs and traditions around the Winter Solstice. It can all get very complex but I understand it best when I consider that before electricity, the absence or presence of light and warmth dictated the activities of life to a large degree. Winter hibernation meant that there was time for both decorative and preservative pursuits. Not unlike what the world has endured with Covid-19 in some ways really. So here is a winter scene form the northern hemisphere, which captures something of the gradual melting away of long nights into longer Summer days.
